The Importance of Estate Planning

These days everyone knows the importance of putting things in place for your retirement, allowing you to enjoy your later life which most of us have worked very hard for.

In recent years there has been a big increase in the number of people also planning for their death by arranging a pre-paid funeral plan as it ensures that you get the send-off that you want and can also reduce the stress and financial responsibility for your next of kin.

We believe that it is just as important to ensure that the stress and burden are also reduced for the next of kin after the final farewells of the funeral, when they need to tie up the loose ends of your estate.

Most people are aware that they need to have a Will in place to detail what is to happen with their estate, who is to inherit what and sometimes who is not to inherit anything. A Will is also a very important document to make those aware of any plans or arrangements you have made during your lifetime. We would always recommend that this is something everyone puts in place alongside a Power of Attorney document to allow your loved ones to help and support you when you may not be able to make your own decisions.

At Memoria Estate Planning we understand that for some, talking about planning for this time in your life can be very difficult and sometimes, can be confusing. That’s why our team of consultants are trained to keep it simple and explain the benefits and limitations of each service in jargon free terms, personalising advice to your situation.
